Gin, Boats & Get Faaarkked Moments - A Sweaty, Chaotic, Bloody Brilliant Wedding on the Murray
Anna has absolutely blown us away with her work. She has captured our wedding so well that every time we look at them we feel like we are back reliving the day all over again!
Anna made us feel so at ease as we are sooo awkward at the best of times and the results are insanely good.
The hardest thing for us to do now is pick some photo's to print because EVERY single photo she has given us is EPIC!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to one of the greatest humans we've met!
- Abbey & Sean
Some weddings are elegant.
Some weddings are emotional.
And some weddings are just one giant “GET FAAARRRKKKED” moment from start to finish.
Abbey and Sean’s Mulwala wedding was exactly that.
An Aussie country gal and her self-proclaimed Irish leprechaun, bonded over gin, questionable music choices and lockdown Netflix marathons, somehow managed to throw one of the most joy-filled weddings I’ve ever been part of. The kind where everyone’s sweating, laughing, yelling across a boat and fully committed to having the absolute best time possible.
And yes — it was HOT.
Not “cute summer glow” hot.
Proper sweat-in-all-the-places hot.
But nobody cared.
Not Abbey.
Not Sean.
Not their legends of friends and family.
And definitely not me, happily hijacking boats alongside them.
From the second the day kicked off, everything felt relaxed in the best possible way. No weird pressure. No pretending. Just good humans fully soaking up every second together.
The ceremony on the banks of the Mulwala was full of laughter, chaos and the kind of energy that makes you forget there’s a camera around. Exactly my favourite kind of wedding.
And then the party kicked in.
These two wanted an epic wedding party and honestly? They absolutely delivered. The dance floor was unhinged, the vibes were immaculate and every single person there looked like they’d known each other forever.
The best part though? These two genuinely adore each other.
Not in a performative way.
Not in a “Pinterest-perfect” way.
Just in a deeply comfortable, hilarious, completely themselves kind of way.
After the wedding, Abbey sent me the sweetest message saying:
“Anna has absolutely blown us away with her work. She has captured our wedding so well that every time we look at them we feel like we are back reliving the day all over again.”
Which honestly is the whole point of this job.
To make photos that feel like memories.
Not just what the day looked like — but what it felt like.
Abbey & Sean — thank you for trusting me with your wildly brilliant wedding day. I’d hijack a boat with you two again anytime.
xx
