A New Year’s Eve wedding at Quat Quatta and a quick trip to the beach…. is a truly beautiful thing.
What better way to spend NYE than with some babes like this, at one of my favourite venues, and then escape to the beach for 20 mins. Nope - it doesn’t get much better.
Sam and Teagan had styled the shit out of their wedding - with some of the most legendary vendors around. It was pretty awesome and I continually feel so bloody luck to be a part of these wonderful days. One of the most notable styling success was the fact that they got all their guests to wear white and they were the ones who wore the colour.

Disney mega fan Catherine, wed her prince charming in true Princess style. In her absolutely stunning Jason Grech dress, and subtley nodding to Mickey in her shoes, Jarrod was just about knocked off his feet as he saw his beautiful bride. There were nothing but romantic vibes as they said their vows in the upstairs of the The Leveson Hotel.
A gorgeous wedding Melbourne wedding, with a quick trip in some amazing Mustangs for some gorgeous city portraits. With our driver of said Mustang going above and beyond (as seen in above pic), there was never any doubt we would get some seriously cool frames.

A beautiful, and rain interrupted, ceremony at one of Melbourne’s coolest venues. Butler Lane was the perfect place for these two cool cats on their wedding day. It may have poured during the ceremony, but Drew & Addie took it all in their stride.
A sudden downpour interrupted Drew and Addie's wedding ceremony at Butler Lane.
But just like the true legends they are, they took it all in their stride, popped up some umbrellas and when it was clear what Mother Nature intended, we just went inside. Too easy.
And it was thanks to the people that Drew & Addie had surrounded themselves with, that made it so easy.... nobody panicked... they were all clearly 'walkers in rain' (as opposed to 'just getting wet' ) kind of people - which are definitely my kind of people. And inside we went.
The staff at Butler's Lane were amazing - also keeping their cool, and many of the guests took it upon themselves to brave the elements and help bring things, such as the florals, inside.
All in all it was a bloody lovely way to spend my birthday... celebrating with some pretty special people on their very special day.

A beautiful Tanglewood Estate wedding/elopement. Laura and Mark married amongst the trees at Tanglewood with just their parents as guests - oh and a heap of flipping awesome vendors to boot.
One of the things I love about these kind of elopements is that generally the couple get ready together. I love that they’re starting their married life, as they mean to go on…. together.
We had a lot of lol’s with these two and they were such great sports - even when it was less than balmy conditions!
And the venue. Well. Tanglewood Estate is truly a magical place - I would love to live there permanently if I could - look out Tanglewood… you might just find me setting up camp!

I had a dream.
I wanted to do a shoot amongst the Snow Gums.
I’m a big fan of trees and Snow Gums fascinate me.
Then I thought - well, if I’m going to go to the trouble of finding a couple to do a shoot with - let’s make it special - let’s make it real.
Let’s find someone who would actually elope.
And oh yeah, let’s find someone who would do this in the winter, with snow… I LOVE the snow.
OK - and what would they wear… ooooohhh my Mum had a winter wedding - her dress is beautiful.
Yes, IS beautiful.
She still has it.
From 1971.
And that’s how it began.
It was a beautiful thing.
